About Seyta
Inner Lands is the internet home of Seyta Selter.
Here’s my story:
An avid lifelong dreamer, my first memory is a dream from infancy in which an alligator bit my thumb off - which in retrospect, set up my foundational quandaries about Self, memory, and the nature of reality.
I am a bridge-maker, committed to grounding and normalizing extraordinary perceptual experiences as part of our natural human intelligence. Practicing dreaming and mind metaphysics as my primary focus for over 25 years, I have kept a dream journal and notes throughout my explorations. When I was 20 years old, I made a vow that I would follow my dreaming life as my primary guide for my waking life. I have, and here I am close to 30 years later with a deep understanding of crafting a life from the messages of dream and inner guidance. My definition of dreaming has expanded since my vow and I have picked up new tools and frameworks along the way, but my process has held steady, and I have gained unique expertise navigating life from the inside out.
Inner Lands is the best way I can describe my working terrain, in service of promoting a full-spectrum human experience and supporting others to tap into their full unique human and ancestral gifts along their own particular paths of personal empowerment.
Following the wisdom from my inner senses has taken me in different directions, including fashion design and entrepreneurship, fiber arts, small business operations and consulting, teaching, and ritual-based private practice. I’ve learned to chart my own path through my passions and experiences in a way that allows for the unfolding of my ancestral gifts and meandering life purpose.
”Ancestor work” — building relationships with my ancestors, getting to know my ancestral affinities, and unraveling intergenerational patterns, has been one of the most profound and empowering processes of growth and support in my life. I love helping others explore this birthright, and I’m proud to offer a practiced and steady hand to hold when entering the inner space to do this work.
Human Design has also been a very helpful lens for me to understand myself and my unusual life path more deeply. Led to it, as usual, through a series of dreamy synchronicities and the urgings of my weirder ancestors, this bizarre and esoteric consciousness map offers a nuanced and accurate blueprint of your own personal subtle energies to support living your authentic path.
In illustration, my Human Design chart would summarize my life’s work as “a multi-faceted journey of exploration and personal reflection to synthesize my experience and incisive awareness in service of helping to empower and guide the right ‘initiates’ into the mastery of trusting one’s intuitive clarity and authenticity.” Something to think about. Each person’s Human Design chart yields such a unique and profound foundational level of insight. The questions become, What does this mean to me? In what ways am I living this? and How do I make this practical? As my own summary implies, I am here to help you with this exploration — I think it can be as useful to you as it has been to me. (For those who may be conversant in the jargon of that system, I am a 1/3 Emotional Projector, RAX of the Four Ways 2. Here’s my Bodygraph.)
Finally, it feels important to say that I’ve grown to enjoy enriching and loving relationships with the totality of my being, and specifically with my beloved ancestors, who spring from the Jewish diaspora as well as Celtic, Norse, and Germanic lands, and who wrangled with just about every phase of the troubled history of the United States. I live gratefully where I belong within the all-encompassing body of the earth, fjord-side on Skokomish Twana lands in Washington State.
